In the moments we feel like the weight is impossible to bear, God is present. He does not fall off the throne when we go through the hardest trials.

When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, our family sang Great is Thy Faithfulness often, praying in our hearts that the Lord would give us strength for today and hope for tomorrow. Everyday was hard, but the pain reminded us that life is short, unpredictable, and out of our control. But as children of God who believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, we're reminded that eternal life with God far outweighs every burden and trial of this world.

From Dad's first diagnosis to his last breath, there has been an unwavering peace in our hearts - a peace beyond our understanding - a peace that steadies us with the voice of God saying "everything will be okay". In joy, in pain, in sorrow, in tears, He is working in the midst of it all.
