[JCollab] Marissa x J & Co Foundry

As we celebrate the victory that He has overcome, we have a little message shared by Marissa @moodoodles for this week’s #Jcollab as we countdown to Christmas.

This is what the quote means to her:

For a long time, I feared not doing or being good enough. I constantly compared myself to others, and wondered why I couldn't be better. It took me a very long time (and I'm still a work-in-progress) but over the years, God has been teaching me how to keep my heart focused on Him, knowing that He has already overcome, and I need not worry or be anxious.

The calla lilies depicted in the artwork are symbolic of Jesus' resurrection; shaped like trumpets, they signify triumph. The message itself is inspired by a song called 'Surrounded (Fight My Battles)', where one part of the lyrics goes: 'I believe You've overcome, and I will lift my song of praise for what You've done.'

It's about putting on a garment of praise amidst your circumstances, declaring that what He has said is true and will come to pass. Nothing in this world can separate you from His great love. Be still and know that the Lord has overcome.
