[JCollab] Melissa x J & Co Foundry

For this week’s #Jcollab post, we have Melissa Rechard @belovedscribbles sharing with us the quote "He Is Still Good". 

This is what the quote means to her:

“ If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

- Daniel 3:17-18

These words, referenced from Daniel 3:18 remain close to my heart.

My son who was then 7 months old was diagnosed with a rare congenital disease of bilateral ureteroceles. If untreated, his kidneys would be damaged. I cried out to God desperately for His healing as I knew that God was more than able to remove those cysts.

Despite countless prayers and much tears, every repeated scan that I went for in faith disappointed me. My son ended up requiring a major open surgery to reconstruct his bladder. It was such a challenging time but God saw us through it all and today, I believe that He is able to perform miracles.
